The multi-award-winning Konjac Sponge Company was founded in the UK over 10 years ago. Founders of the original Konjac Sponges, sponges made with the finest food grade pure Konjac fibre and nourishing mineral-rich extracts. Exclusively crafted by hand using nothing but 100% natural ingredients in the volcanic hills of Jeju Island in South Korea (a UNESCO world heritage protected site reported to have some of the purest water in the world). A company that is also proud to carry the Leaping Bunny and Vegan Society symbols.
Konjac (or Konnyaku) has been used in Korea for over 1,500 years as medicine, food, a dieting aid and beauty products. The Konjac Sponge Company’s pure Konjac is free from chemicals, colouring, additives and irritants. They never use any form of additional ingredients in their sponges or during the manufacturing process. Just pure Konjac fibre of the highest quality possible.
The Mandala Bamboo Charcoal Konjac Face Sponge packaging is also completely biodegradable. Just like the sponge itself! The little window in the box is made from cellulose compostable materials. The box itself is made from FSC board.
Daily cleansing with the bamboo charcoal sponge will support combatting the problems of teen skin and skin prone to sebum and oil-based problems.
How it Works
The texture of the Konjac sponge is pillow-soft once hydrated in water. It is totally safe to use around the eyes to remove daily grime and water-based make-up. The massaging effect of the sponge assists in stimulation of the blood flow and recharges the skin.
How to Use
Before use, rinse and hydrate your Konjac Sponge in warm water. Squeeze out any excess water and gently cleanse the skin. It is not necessary to use cleansing products, but a small amount can be added to your Konjac Sponge if desired. If a cleanser is added, the sponge will help the product work harder and go further.
Focus on problem areas, and use twice daily for the best effects. After use, squeeze the sponge out and hang to dry. The better care you give the sponge the longer it lasts, which can be up to 3 months.
